2019 California Public Use Airports & Federal Airfields

The State Division of Aeronautics website features an interactive map at this link: https://caltrans.maps.arcgis.com/apps/webappviewer/index.html?id=32c3cbe24491427d872e2fec173a4b22

To start, click to accept the terms; when the map opens, airport locations are displayed with several GIS layers as defaults. You can add the political districts by clicking on their check boxes. Then, to look at specific airport information, hover the cursor over the airport’s “dot” on the map—the dot being the symbol tied to the airport’s service category—and (left) click to open a text box for detailed information…see below. A “Zoom To” function in the text box provides a close-up view and fills in the airport property boundary. The text box can have several pages; click the page arrow and boundary lines will change as you go from one page to the next. In the upper right corner, there are functions available if using the map image for some purpose than can be served by additional graphics.
